Born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, sculptor “Bez” Bezuneh has 25 years of experience in artwork, design, and construction of sculptures, including monument statues, bronze casting, and aluminum casting. His profound works capture for an international audience the renowned personalities of different areas of Ethiopia, and were designed and constructed in Bez’s workshop, Manenet Art Studio.

Bez received his BA from the distinguished Fine Arts School at Addis Ababa University in 1995. His awards include the Presidential Award from former President of Ethiopia Girma Wolde-Giorgis, and a recognition from the Addis Ababa City Hall. He has worked as an assistant for sculptor Ed Dwight and at Art Castings of Colorado in Loveland in various departments.
