Sohocki

Dennis Sohocki is one of the original artists, participating in Sculpture in the Park since the very beginning. Dennis says, “In my 45 year career, I’ve been in galleries and shows from coast to coast as well as participated in international shows. Now Loveland is the only show I do because it is the best show in the country for sculptors and collectors.

When the show began in 1984, it was like the Lil’ Rascals who said ‘Let’s just put on our own show to support artists and allow our town to buy monuments!’ Undaunted, they created over time the premiere sculpture event in the country and put together one of the best sculpture collections of any town in the United States.

The artists love the show. The collectors and first time buyers love the show. It’s family and kid friendly. The art is diverse in both styles and mediums and takes place in a beautiful outdoor setting!”

David Turner who has also been in the show for over 20 years says, "I live on the eastern coastal plains. Sculpture in the Park is a great western US venue and offers a lot of exposure. It’s helped me attract a great group of patrons and a couple new collectors each year. I’ve made life-long friends with the artists, show organizers, volunteers and staff. This community of sculptors has become my second home."

Diane
Mason

According to Diane Mason, who has participated for over 10 years, "The annual Sculpture in the Park Show & Sale is always a major highlight of my year.  It is an opportunity to show new work and see clients’ reactions to the work (something you cannot do when selling through a gallery or website). Best of all, it is a chance to reconnect with so many artist-friends, as well as those who have already collected my work. I absolutely LOVE this show.

Even if I was no longer in the show myself, I would still go and help some of my friends just to be a part of it.  It is so well-managed with a superb staff and enthusiastic volunteers…they  make it easy to set-up and tear-down our booths, and make the entire experience a delight.”

Mia De la Vega

Angela Mia De la Vega has been participating in the show for nearly 15 years. She says, “My purpose as a sculptor is to find inspiration each day that I can express through my works.  I feel fulfilled in this purpose when I am given the opportunity to share this inspiration with others. The yearly Sculpture in the Park show is a grand celebration of the collective inspiration of sculptors. Not only is our artistic expression shown great appreciation, but beautiful bonds are created with the patrons, staff, devoted volunteers, and our fellow sculptors. It is a wonderful ‘battery charger’ that I look forward to every year.”
