Bobbie Carlyle

Loveland, Colorado

Bobbie has a BFA from Brigham Young University. Her seven children and many grandchildren have been models for many of her early sculptures. Her favorite theme is that of self-development. Self Made Man is about creating one's own character and future, Sunriser is a female phoenix denoting renewal and rebirth, and Stretch the Limits is a man within a Möbius strip stretching the boundaries.

Bobbie has created many works from life size to monumental scale. In May of 2023 her 15-foot relief Sunriser was mounted to a new Lifetime Fitness window wall in Walnut Creek, California;  her 9.5-foot Seaswept is installed at the Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools in Los Angeles; the 14-foot Self Made Man has been installed in New South Wales in Australia and at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The city of Cheyenne, Wyoming, owns many of her works, including Hard to Leave, a 6-foot 7-inch cowboy, and 9-foot Nature's Keeper, an Indian chief emerging from the earth.
