“I find art in many different mediums exciting; there is something about a well-executed piece of art that speaks to me. A well-done painting in all its nuance is something that can hold my attention for a long time. A well-executed sculpture has the same effect. In my younger years when my abilities were being forged, I sometimes struggled to do what my mind wanted me to do. I found that each time I finished a piece my pieces were getting better and easier to do, and I hope that the process of getting better and learning more with each new work will never stop. Art in all its forms is a process of learning how to see. What I mean by that is that it is possible to look at something and not see it in a way that would allow you to use the information creatively. To imagine something that does not exist and make it exist is an exciting creative process that I never get bored with. The creative part of me is always at work imagining something or wanting to invent something or improve something. I guess to sum it up I just love art in all its forms, from music to sculpture, even the process of furniture building, but especially the classic forms of sculpture and painting.
