David Huang
Sand Lake, Michigan
David Huang was born, raised, trained, and is currently living in the western Michigan region. Beginning metalsmithing in high school, he went on to earn his BFA from Grand Valley State University. He has worked full-time as a self-employed artist since 2003.
David is represented by galleries around the US. His work has been shown in the US and abroad, including solo shows at the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science & Art in Midland, Michigan. He has been featured in Metalsmith magazine, American Craft magazine, and numerous other books and publications. In the 2019 Saul Bell Design Award competition, his entry won first place in the Hollowware/Objects category.
