“I became interested in woodturning about 20 years ago when I read an article in Fine Woodworking magazine about segmented wood vessels. What attracted me the most to the technique was its versatility—it allowed for a great deal of creativity and endless possibilities for colors, themes, and combinations of different hardwoods. It also allows me to incorporate a wide range of design methods into my work, including carving, painting, and gold leafing. My work has been exhibited at the American Association of Woodturners Symposiums and at the Albuquerque Museum of Arts ArtsThrive exhibition.” You can see more of my work at www.graceparliman.com.”
