Guadalupe Barajas received a BFA degree in three-dimensional design from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After retiring from teaching, he embarked on his second career as a sculptor, focusing on wildlife and telling life stories of his Native American heritage through representational bronze sculpture. His award-winning sculptures are collected by western art enthusiasts.
Guadalupe’s large commissioned bronzes include nineteen pieces placed throughout Cheyenne, Wyoming. His artwork is shown exclusively at the Grey Wolf Gallery in Cheyenne. He has been a Wyoming Governor’s Arts Award honoree; has won back-to-back best of show awards at the Western Spirit Art Show and Sale; and his bronze Tatanka was featured on the cover of Bison World magazine.
