“My work is created from a baselineofpast encounters with art and architecture at anearly age. These spaces, forms, and objects that I encountered imprinted in my mindand always left me wondering who was this human soul that created them. I primarily work in silver, stainless steel, and steel. These materials are the mediums with which I can express me in ways I cannot with words. Many times, during the process of creating sculpture, the greater intent of what I am working on will reveals itself through the arduous process of fabrication. This is the moment that inspires me to be my best in thisartistic journey as a human. It has compelled me to constantly learn, question my intent, and become a better person in order to create geometrical emanations of my soul that will embody a sense of place, order, and peace and, most of all, inspire others to obtain the things that seem impossible.” Discover more at www.ortegasculpture.com.
