J.D. Bøthun

Loveland, Colorado

 J.D., a Loveland native, was always successful in 2D media while majoring in art but later found his real joy in sculpting. He participated in Sculpture in the Park in its early years until his business, Dog Sled Rides of Winter Park, commanded too much of his time. His love of huskies, first cousin to the wolf, has influenced his creations. His work has been displayed in many mountain towns in lodges and galleries, and he has taken first-place awards in various shows. After a long hiatus during which he logged nearly 50,000 miles on a dog sled, J.D. is very happy to again participate in Sculpture in the Park. His work is currently displayed at Paradox Fine Art in Loveland.
