Conflict and struggle have helped him use his talents to have an impact in the world. The father of two special needs children, Jon realizes that we all experience the world from different perspectives. We learn and gain insights as we interact with people of all backgrounds and cultures. The human experience is the basis for the stories his sculpture tells. While accolades are nice, he feels they are a distraction from his overall objective—to connect on a personal level with those who interact with his sculpture.
