Joseph Manuel Macias

Joseph Macias is a sculptor who lives and works in Longmont, Colorado. He attended the Columbus College of Art & Design in Ohio, where he studied industrial design. But his true love is figurative sculpture, and he strives to show the depth of human struggle, love, and beauty through his work. He has studied locally and internationally with accomplished figurative sculptors such as Valentine Okorokov, Stanley Bleifeld, Eudald de Juana, and Grzegorz Gwiazda. He is currently collaborating on a local project depicting the history of agriculture on Colorado's Front Range. In addition to his passion for art, Joseph is an outdoor enthusiast and arborist who has climbed trees from Florida and Vermont to Washington and Colorado. He runs his tree company with his wife and two sons.
