Marv Poulson, emphasizing natural surrealism, creates original stone sculptures, seeking the sublime while engaging emotional response through conceptual interpretation. His creative process engages him with native western United States stone, allowing imagination and the stone to merge in the crucible of time and contemplation.

Marv holds a BS from the University of Utah and studied machine development in order to create free forms and stone spheres using native stone. He pursued extended study in material science and sculptural techniques for sculpting native stone with metal and mixed material elements. Through an active show schedule over the years, Marv's work is at home in hundreds of private and corporate collections throughout North America.
