Robert Allison
Denver, Colorado
Robert grew up in South Carolina. His love of sculpture was cultivated during his family’s many visits to Brookgreen Gardens near Myrtle Beach on the coast. Anna Hyatt Huntington’s work and other sculptures elevated his creative side. At home, he would play with the sculpted animals and army men he created. Later, Robert received an arts degree in sculpture from the University of South Carolina. He studied under a number of sculptors, including Lincoln Fox and Eugene Daub, and for many years with Earline Heath King. He was accepted into a summer program at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. He had the privilege of creating a larger-than-life sculpture of USC’s mascot “Cocky.” To learn more, visit www.robertallisonsculpture.com.
