Tenyoh
Rapid City, South Dakota
Inspiration for Tenyoh’s art stems from her experience as a nurse working with people of diverse backgrounds. She studied sumi-e (brush and ink) in Japan. In the US she turned her attention to oils. Since 2012, she has pursued a full-time career as a self-taught ceramic sculptor. She also teaches clay hand-building to adults with special needs.
A solo exhibit titled Take Me To Your Moon: Journeys Into The World of Dementia is currently showing at Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Tenyoh is a 2023 recipient of the South Dakota Arts Council’s Fellowship Grant. Discover more at www.tenyoh.com.
